“Excellent Stay!”

Hotel is situated in quite a rural area, 15 mins bus ride from kusadasi (which is a fun experience), not too keen on kusadasi though, and a 15 mins bus ride from Selcuk, which is a lovely little local town with loads of history.

Hotel itself, well... you can't complain about the setting, even if in certain areas of the hotel there is a bit of smell. The beach is paradise, lovely and quiet during the day, with amazing sunsets in the evening.

Hotel itself could do with a bit of modernising, but my main gripe would be the all inclusive food. It wasn't very Turkish, I found myself mainly eating the salad or pasta, and once a week I was treated to a kebab. But for the price I can't complain.

“Nice hotel, needs a bit of work”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We visited the Richmond, Ephesus hotel in September 2011. There were four of us in total aged between 18-28. We did have a lovely week in Turkey, however, did find that the hotel could have been better.
On arrival, there was some confusion with our rooms but that was soon sorted out once I showed them where they were getting confused!! We were promptly taken to our rooms by the porter who took all our luggage for us. We were pleased with the rooms, both had working air con, they were both clean and both had mini bars which were refreshed daily. However, the fridge in one of the rooms did not work and was only refreshed every now and again!!!
The staff were very helpful and friendly (most of them anyway!). The beach was fine but the sea could have been a bit cleaner - i've stayed at places with nicer beaches in Turkey. We spent most of our time around the pool instead. The entertainment team were lovely and they had quite a bit of enthusiasm (some days anyway!) and were helpful. The bar staff were lovely and made cocktails to request, there weren't too many queues for drinks most of the time which was important as it was hot!! The slides were great fun but were away from the main pool which might be a problem for families.
The food was fine but I have to say two of the four of us did spend a day in bed being sick - both felt that it was the salads (washed with their own water). The food was plentiful but not that varied.
Overall, we had a lovely week away but we won't be coming back any time soon as I have stayed in better hotels in Turkey so will be returning to them instead.
Note to all: if you want any night life, don't bother with this hotel - the evening entertainment was very half hearted and didn't go on for long and town was a 20 minute dolmus ride away so wasn't a great idea for two young girls to do on their own. I'm not just saying this as a young person because we met some lovely older couples while we were there who were also complaining that there was nothing to do of an evening.

Room Tip: Go for one of the bungalows - much more space :)

“Very relaxing place to be, right at the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

If you go here, don't fly to Bodrum, but to Izmir, it's closer and the road is less dangerous. Our transfer bus nearly got of the road, so both bus and driver had to be replaced during the trip to the hotel.
My husband and I stayed here during 8 days. It was a very nice place to be. The food was very good. Our hotel room in the annex buildings was big and quiet, at the ground floor. In the evening there are mosquitos, but the window in the hotel room had wire-netting.
The animation was not very impressive, but that was not what we came for.
This hotel is right at the beach and we had the best of weather. Some of the beds at the beach are not adjustable, it would be better if the hotel would invest in more new beds at he beach, so you can sit or lie down as you please.
It is very easy to travel to Ephesus by bus. (you don't need to go by organized trip)
