Stayed here in September with my husband in a room on the second floor. The staff of this place were AMAZING! Helpful, friendly and just lovely. The rooms were simple, clean and basic- nothing fancy - but you are only paying around 50 euros a night, so it actually exceeded my expectations. The shower didn't have the best pressure and you must take short showers if there are too of you. The breakfast on the rooftop was yummy. They orgnaized a pick up at Izmir airport, which I recommend! They also organized a cab service to Ephesus and Virgin Mary's House, which was very helpful. Everyone in Selchuk is lovely and it was a great stop on our Turkey journey!

I stayed in Urkmez Hotel for 3 nights in January 2012.

What I definitely like about this hotel is that it is very lovely decorated with a homey atmosphere (see the photos I attached)! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Free wifi and delicious breakfast are plus! The twim room (room 201) I stayed is small, but it has a relatively big balcony. Imagine how relaxing it is to enjoy some drinks there in a summer or autumn evening! The location is excellent too. It is very close to the Roman aqueducts, town centre, train station, restaurants and post office!

But there are a few areas which can be better. First of all I found that the two power sockets in my room were loosen which you can see the wires inside! It could be a potential danger! Secondly, the shower, though hot enough, was very very weak. I am not sure if this is the problem of my room or the entire hotel. Lastly, they didn't not make the room nor collect the rubbish during my 3 nights stay. I just stayed for a short period and I kept my room tidy, so I didn't bother to ask. But I think they'd be happy to do it if I asked.

This great family run Boutique Hotel is in the center of Selcuk within a short drive to the fabulous ruins of Emphases. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone visiting the area.

If you are visiting the House if Mary or taking the Ephesus tour, then this is the place to stay. Spent two nights in November 2011. Hotel booked tour for me on arrival. One of the brothers took me to the airport. Good breakfast. Michael from Nigeria
