my husband and I stayed at this hotel, as part of a package, put together by travel agent. We stayed one night, 6th Oct, before a cruise holiday and one night, 17th Oct after the cruise. We did not enjoy the experience and would find it hard to say anything positive about the place. The exception would be it's convenience, right in the heart of the old part of Istanbul.
Due to it being part of a package deal, I do not know what the cost was, but I reckon it can't have been much. Tiny, dirty, old fashioned rooms, with paper thin walls and I mean paper thin. Absolutely every sound from within the hotel came through to our room, with the result that we were kept awake all night, both nights.
The window on our bedroom faced out on to the street. The window measured about four feet wide and th single threadbare curtain measured about three feet, letting the street lights in all night.
On the evening of the 17th Oct, we booked a taxi, thru the hotel, to take us to Ataturk airport for the following morning. We requested it for 8am, but the receptionist suggested 7.30am, which we agreed to. However, she omitted to tell us that breakfast didn't start until 7.30am, thereby leaving us without.
Breakfast buffet was in the process of being put out when we arrived down. On seeing us, the food was promptly taken back in from view and the lights switched off. When we asked about this, we were told we couldn't eat until 7.30. The time was 7.15.Really bad pr.
