“Nice Hotel Good Location”

We stayed here for four nights, the room was spacious although the bathroom was quite small, the standard of cleanliness throughout was excellent.
There was a good variety at breakfast, cereal, eggs, pancakes, bread, cheese, tea & coffee.

The hotel is in the old part of Istanbul, within walking distance of The Blue Mosque,Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace Museum.
Also there are a number of good restaurants close by, one to try is the Paladium which is a couple of doors away from the hotel.

“GOOD PRICE, EXCELLENT LOCATION, SUPERB SERVICE”

After many years travelling, it is rewarding to find a hotel nicely located at a walking distance of all attractions. Very cleaned facilities. The room 42 has a unbelievable views to Bosforo strait, Marmara Sea and Golden Horn. The best, the service offered by the owners and their employee. The breakfast may be improved. Reasonable price. Higly recommended.

Our room was comfortable even though we had the cheapest room. Breakfast consisted of fresh bread, fruit, pancakes and all sorts of tasty toppings, that can be eaten in a nice small garden. The Berk hotel has a main roof terrace that has a perfect view of the sea, the hagia sophia and the blue mosque. And last but not least: the people of Berk are very friendly and know how to assist a tourist in finding out Istanbul. A reccomender!

“Convenient for sightseeing, friendly service and reasonable room”

The biggest selling point for this place is the location. You are a few minutes from the main sights so if you are smart enough to eat breakfast at 8.30 (when it is served) and head out to the main sights at 9 you should beat the mass of tourists and snap some great photos. We saw the Basilica Cistern when there was practically nobody and it was a joy. The owner Yeshim is very helpful and if there is anything that you plan on seeing e.g. Bosphorus tour with the ferry she will tell you the times and give directions.

Room Tip: As a couple we stayed in a double room on the ground floor. It can be a little noisy as you are next...

“Highly recommend this lovely place in the heart of Istanbul”

I loved staying at the Berk Guest House with my family. It really felt to be home away from home. We loved our host Yeshim . She is super nice and always helped us with everything we needed and made the place to feel at home . Also other employees were nice and helpful. The room was very charming , spacious, clean, and bright with a view of the sea and having the elevator was a big plus for us. We enjoyed our breakfast in a peaceful backyard. The hotel is in the heart of Sultanahmet and at the same time peaceful and quiet. We loved walking to all these historic sites within walking distance to our hotel anytime of the day and night which i enjoyed a lot to feel the ambiance of these magnificent sites in different times. Many great restaurants , cafes, and shops(Grand Bazar) within walking distance. Easy access to Public transportation also. I had been many times to Istanbul and this trip staying in this Lovely place with the Lovely host and in a very rich historic area of Istanbul had been my best experience ever and we will be back there ....
