Myself and my wife stayed here in one of the "Blue" rooms for 4 nights. The furniture is unusually retro styled but we liked it.
The staff here were very friendly, helpful and honest (unlike at some of the other hotels we stayed at in Turkey).
The location of the hotel is excellent, right outside a tram stop and within a short walk of ferries, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Grand Bazaar. If you enjoy a beer, it is also next to the North Shield pub (which has all sorts of Western sport live on TV, including Australian NRL, rugby, etc).
The room was clean and comfortable, though a little small. It was a little confusing at first how to operate the aircon and powerpoints at first, but we eventually worked this out (a particular unlabeled switch in the room needed to be activated)
At night we had to keep the window shut and aircon on to avoid noise from the street below, but we were very comfortable with the aircon on and window shut.
Breakfast was also good.
Summary - we would stay here again. Its not perfect, but clean and comfortable. The staff were one of the highlights - exceptionally helpful and friendly. The main negatives were the modern auto-flush toilet (I'd prefer a manual button press) and noise from the street at night (though the room is very quiet with the window shut).
