This hotel is 5 stars if not more. The property is gorgeous and the the staff is exceptional!

Fantastic location by the Spice market.Beautifully restored old building with Ottoman furnished lobby, a classic large cage elevator, wide halls, high ceiling spacious rooms,,excellent value. This hotel is located in the heart of the old town and the bridge over to the Asian side of the strait. So close to all major attractions, all within walking distance. It has got a grand style and a flair of old times, but in good condition and the rooms are very spacey. Nice staff. Breakfast was OK, but on the sparse side with western eyes. No orange juice included, but you could buy a glass at a terrifying price...
Overall a nice place and a super location. Would stay here again.

As some other reviews have said, this hotel should be rated much higher than it is. We stayed 3 nights. We were very pleasantly surprised by the large, modern room which was waiting for us when we opened the door. Check in was business like and professional, but it is a large business hotel frequented by groups. We had a small problem with the room which was fixed within minutes of our call for service. The breakfast is extensive served in a room with a view. We found the elevators uncrowded, lobby beautiful and clean, and the room spacious by big city hotel standards. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to TA readers. It is in a prime location next to the Spice Market with plenty of shopping and sites within walking distance.
