Stayed in Ersu with my mother for 6 nights. Bedroom is a small, and beds could be better, but furthermore it's a nice small hotel. Good breakfast with bread, cheese, olives, eggs, sausages, yoghurt, dryed fruit and cereals. Towels are replaced every day, which is unneccesary: take care of the environment! Located in a cosy, small street with a nice restaurant for lunch/diner at the corner, Hotel Faros. Near all highlights and public transport to Eminonu/Galatabridge.

Very good for a budget hotel. Location is perfect for walking to all major sights and a block away from the tram stop. Rooms were nice, breakfast was good and service was decent. Best place in Istanbul for the money.

very nice little hotel in the heart of istanbul. from here you can really walk to all major sights on the european side of istanbul.
to aya sofia and topkapi palace you just have to walk a few minutes.
right in front of the hotel you can find quite a few restaurants. even though most of them are rather touristy, all restaurants we tried were decent.
the room itself was very small but considering that your probably most of the time outside visitng all the interesting sights of istanbul we didn't think that the size of the room was an issue.
everything was relatively new and clean. the hotel staff was really nice. for my girlfriends birthday they even brought us a complimentary bottle of wine to our room.

we the breakfast wasn't anything special but to have a cup of coffee and some turkish specialties it was definitely ok.
all in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone.
