A bit dark, a bit noisy, dated basic rooms and not very clean; bathroom ok and clean; staff very friendly and willing to help, location - PERFECT. For the price paid (30-40 EUR per night a standard double), it was a fair choice and i would stay there again.

The hotel was a bit problematic for my taxi to find since it is nestled inside an alley. The room itself was small and uninviting but the hotel is close to many restaurants and bars. About a 15 minute walk gets you to the train station and harbour. Another 20 minute walk in the other direction gets you to the spice market and other attractions. Everyone spoke English so there is no problem finding your way around or asking for directions.

Hotel is excelently located - it is in the city centre, 5-mins walk from Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque... Staff is friendly and rooms are not big, but quite cosy (clean & with all you might need for a short stay). Internet in the hotel lobby is free of charge but it doesn't work as it should (at least, it did not function for me!).
One remark: bring a book when staying in the room during night, since all their TV channels are in Turkish (only 1 is ocassionaly without sinzhronization).
Food is excellent (we did have only breakfast but you should try their cheese & cheese pies; jymmmuuuuuu!!)....
