“Hotel perfetto per un week-end a Instanbul”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

In poche parole un Hotel consigliassimo.

“Ideal place to stay in the heart of Istanbul”

The hotel is in an excellent location in the old quarter, close to many of the key sites – Topkapi, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque etc. It is also very near the Basilica Cistern which is well worth a visit and is within a short walking distance of the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar and the ferry over to the Asian side. The Sultanhamet tram stop is also close by making a trip to Beyoglu very easy. The hotel itself is very comfortable and quiet with friendly, helpful staff and a roof terrace with wonderful views which must be great for al fresco dining during the summer months.

“Great place to stay in Istanbul”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We can highly recommend this lovely hotel in the heart of old Istanbul. The location is perfect, right in the centre of all the sights and close to the tram and to good restaurants. The rooms are a good size and nicely furnished, and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast, with its stupendous views from the top of the hotel, was always enjoyable but some might miss the full English, which was not on offer. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night and had an excellent meal with friendly and efficient service. We would be very happy to stay there again. Istanbul is an amazing city and this hotel is an excellent base.

Room Tip: choose a higher floor, for the views.

“Wonderful Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

This hotel is a truly great place to stay in Istanbul. Not only is it in the centre of Sultanhamet with most places of interest practically on the doorstep (Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Archeological Museum and the best Turkish Baths ever), it is also very quiet at the same time. The staff are super and friendly, the room we had was quite and spacious - laundry is changed daily.
We had a B&B deal and breakfast is in a rooftop restaurant with wonderful views over the Bosphorous. A great place to take pics. Breakfast was a good choice for differing palates - not exactly 5 star but good enough and all fresh and tasty.
We did not take advantage of the Turkish Bath or Sauna in the hotel so cannot comment - far too much to do outside - time did not allow!
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and return to stay in it.

“Istanbul”

One of the best travel experiences from the wonderful food (no additives/pesticides/hormones in the food chain) and people very friendly and helpful, telling us they love Americans. The sights are beyond description and the tram and public transportation system very easy to use.Went for the contemporary art which makes the NY scene a little tired and redundant; many women artists and women making beautiful contemporary objects for the home. Three different distinct areas of the city to explore with their own character. Ten days was barely enough to absorb this interesting secular environment ( they have voted since the early 1800s)

Room Tip: email ahead if you want a queen size bed
