I stayed at the Grand Medya for three nights.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. And the location is good as you are just a few minutes from the Tram station Laleli/University. You can even walk to the Grand Bazar, if you take a few minutes longer.

The room I was in, however, lacked a very minimum standard of cleanliness. The bedsheet had a dirty stain (and the sheet was not changed on the second night), the towel wasn't clean as well and the mug in the bathroom had dirty stains on the (inside) botton. Also, there was just very little toiletpaper in the room upon arrival.
The aircondition didn't seem to work as it was very warm in the room.

Taken into account the issues with its cleanliness I think the rate is slightly overprised. For the money I paid, I certainly expected more in terms of cleanliness.

It is a good hotel. Stayed for two nights. The staff was very helpful. The hotel breakfast was not so good because we got bad milk, and generally the variety of food that was too. As for the rooms were clean and tidy.If you are looking for something middle stay in Grand Medya is the best choice ...

Our travel agent said this was a 4 star hotel, well, it must be 3 star, at my opinion. The place in Laleli is relatively good - about 7-8 minutes from the main tram station in a quiet and safe area, but not so nice, like Sultanahmet and the old town.

The rooms are big enough with basic facilites - bathroom ensuite, TV and wardrobe, there is a lift, and the breakfast is ample and delicious. But the rooms look at an autobus garage wich is not the perfect view when you wake up in the morning.

Reasonable price for a mid-range services. I prefer to stay in a more appropriate place, next time, if I have the financial possibilites.
