While not suited to families I would certainly recommend this hotel to couples old and young, solo travellers, business travellers and friends as a calm, safe oasis from the wonderful craziness that is Istanbul. Great location, just 3 minutes walk from Taksim Square. You then have the choice of either walking downhill down the main shopping street (which pretty much takes you anywhere north of the Galata Bridge that you want to go...Or take a short funicular ride down the hill (located in Taksim Square) and jump onto the great tram system to hit all the tourist spots on the other side of the bridge. Also 2 minutes walk from the Havas airport shuttle bus stop which was very convenient. Feels very safe even walking home very late at night. There are a few restaurants close by but beware the tourist traps – venture a little further instead (refer to Lonely Planet – we tried a few great places). Also check the kebab places where Sıraselviler Caddesi meets Taksim Square – great for quick bite. As for the hotel itself, our room was immaculately clean (even the bathroom) and the staff were fantastic. We stayed in a Deluxe (which is the standard) room. The room was a great size, enough for a huge (we think it was super king) bed, a single seater arm chair with foot rest and desk with chair along the window and STILL room to spare. TV, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities all provided. We had a small gift waiting for us on arrival along with two bottles of water and two packets of nuts which we received again each day we stayed. Free wi-fi was also provided and was quick enough and password provided in room. Breakfast was also great – much variety and the almost uninterrupted views over Istanbul were great. Hotel also has a lovely bar in the lobby for beer, wine and complementary snacks. Also worth checking out the pool, sauna and steam room downstairs. Quiet, calm and lovely. You will need to pay a nominal fee (I think it was 6 EURO) for a swimming cap if you don’t have one of your own with you but it’s a proper reusable cap so you keep it to use again if you wish to swim. Didn’t have time to try the treatments but the rooms looked lovely and also immaculately clean. Highly recommend the hotel.
Room Tip: Request high floor away from elevators. We were on 7th floor so away from traffic - not sure if woul...

As a local born and raised in Istanbul, I also have to say that you gave great tips about what to do in Istanbul. Both touristic and local stuff are included. So overall a great comment that highlights great stuff about our hotel and city definitely better than I would :).
We definitely hope to see you again and you have a great trip once again.
