Budget hotel in the center of Taksim.Clean, comfortable and good breakfast.

I stayed in Istanbul for a week in this hotel.I was with my husband and 3 kids ,we had a double room and a triple room .Both rooms were adequate.The bathroom was very clean and the shower area was very good.The2 rooms had a flat screen TV but they were not spacious,the walls were extremely thin ,you can hear all the sounds of the adjacent rooms also they can hear you.The worst thing about this hotel was the breakfast.Food was of very low quality,almost uneatable.I had breakfast only once in the hotel because of its low quality and for the rest of the week my family and I had breakfast out ,in a nearby "simit saray",although our stay was bed and breakfast. hotel is centrally located in Taksim square and near to the Metro and bus station.Istanbul was delightful that we didn't mind eating outside the hotel.

Set in a hotel area, a five minute walk from Taxim Square, this hotel is a tourist hotel catering mostly for people from the Middle East. Bedrooms are adequate, and some are being renovated, but as the hotel caters for families, can be noisy as young children seem stay-up late at night and frequent other's rooms. Breakfast is typical Turkish and buffet style. As there are so many restaurants in Taxim Square and the surrounding area, there is no other restaurant facilities. Established staff are attentive and helpful and multi lingual. Conference facilitates are available but are below ground level and tend to have a smell. There is a small swimming pool, but do not expect to make more than two stokes.

I stayed in this "so called" hotel from 1.-4.2. What you can see on following picture was taken at 11:13 p.m. (!) from my room window. The workers are preparing the adjacent house base ALL THE NIGHT. You can't ever fall asleep due to terrible noise of rolling stones and blowing trucks. Hotel Seminal should be closed at least until the construction all aroud finishes.
