Istanbul is where you cannot stay indoors for a long time as the city has so many attractions. So if you want to have a plasant place to stay alongside enjoying the wonderful city Surmeli can fulfill your desire. Not to forget its easy approach to main streets and shopping malls.
The rooms are clean , the food is fine and the staff are quite friendly.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of a two week bus tour. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful. The food was fine.

The Surmeli of the internet site and the one in reality are far far away from each other!
This hotel is not even close to five stars facility. It is stuck way back at the seventies.
Old building, outdated furnitures and the room was just depressing. old, smelly and unpleasant. However, everything was operating and the total service was quite ok.
I would give this hotel 3-4 stars maximum. Overall, not the worst, but when one expects five stars, than it's dissapointing.
