We first stayed at the And Hotel in 1994 while traveling with a group of friends and we have we have stayed there since whenever we are fortunate enough to return to Istanbul. We were just there two days ago and the upgrades made our stay even more comfortable: very clean room, great bath, lots of hot water, great heating, nice refridgerator, lots of English language channels on the TV, exceedingly comfortable bed and bedding, and a wonderful terrace facing the Aya Sofia (such a treat to fall asleep and wake-up to such a magical view!). Everything is incredibly accessible from the And, the terrace hotel has a panoramic view to remembered and lots of delicious foods, and breakfast is typically Turkish but offers a greater variety than most. Staff is always super polite, friendly, accessible, and helpful. We totally trust them. One year they learned that we were travelling (a group of five) along the Mediterranean up to Antalya by bus and they explained it would be more cost effective to hire a van. They helped us do so, and we not only saved money, but had a delightul driver and a very comfortable van--being able to stop everywhere we wanted to made it a very special time. This time it was only my husband and I, and although we had not been to the And in six years, the staff recognized us and made us feel at home.

Having been to Turkey a few times now, and having experienced a few Istanbul hotels....I have to say after staying at The AND Hotel in Istanbul... I do not have to worry about looking for any other accommodation other than The AND Hotel, when I'm in Istanbul.

Situated across from the Basilica Sistern as well as across the street from the Hagia Sophia makes it an excellent location. Not to mention the tram stop(s) are located around the corner.
Rooms have breathtaking views of the Hagia Sophia. There is also a top notch roof top restaurant with a 360 degree view of the city.

Very impressive reservation experience.. Having just emailed a reservation request - even with the time difference of 10 hours between Canada & Turkey, I immediately received a complete reply... with a followup telephone call - Mahmut was extremely pleasant and efficient with excellent English.

I don't usually contribute reviews..but wanted to share the positive travel experiences in Istanbul that was greatly assisted by my experiences from the And Hotel team

I stayed here at the start and end of a tour. The staff and friendly and helpful. The rooms are of a good size, however the bathrooms were a little small for my liking.

Excellent location just across the road form Aya Sofia. There is an empty lot next door, and I would imagine that the views of Aya Sofia will be blocked with the site is developed.

Decent turkish breakfast with some cereals to choose from also.

The And hotel was very comfortable and in a fantastic location to see so many things. The Blue Mosque was a stone's throw away and the view on that side of the hotel was superb!
The staff was very friendly and had a good command of English. Breakfast was wonderful with many choices of hot and cold items. Afternoon tea was very nice as well. I would love to stay here again.
