Excellent location for istanbul. Right in the centre and close by all historic sites. It was relatively easy to find.
Pros:
Location
Terrace gave a nice view
Ability to control heating locally was a benefit especially on cold days
Lift
Safe hotel
Safe neighbourhood
Close to public transport

Cons:
Not enough lighting in the bedrooms
Towels were worn out for a 4 star hotel
Bathroom door was difficult to close
Bidet was pointing the wrong way
Small things that you would expect in a hotel were missing such as: shower cap/daily replenishment of soap/shampoo.
Breakfast was adequate - not much variety - lots of cheese and bread
For the price we paid, Im sure we could have found better quality elsewhere in Turkey.
Bedrooms need updating

Overall it was OK and did the purpose, however, improvements can be made so that you feel you spent your money well.

The room and furniture was old fashion, the bathroom old and in need of renovation, small amount of mould in shower, shower cubical tiny, water pressure OK, air conditioning, safe, breakfast had cold selections only and the staff not friendly or very helpful. Would not stay here again and would pay the extra to stay at the Amira Hotel just down the street.

Erguvan is such a charming hotel that lived up and exceeded our expectations. What a lovely stay we had! the staff is great and very helpful with anything you need. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds, I slept wonderfully the whole time. The breakfast is perfect, with lots of fruit, breads, cheeses, and deserts! The location could have not been better, we were close to all the historical sites within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again!

This was one of the best hotels we've been in Istanbul. The staff was helpful, the breakfast was good, and the room was charming. The hotel is conveniently located near the hippodrome and Blue Mosque. And, it's got plenty of street parking - a definite bonus for us. Will come back again.
