Get there early for breakfast, its a lovely view from the terrace!

Nearby Doy Doy restaurant is kind of bland for vegetarians, I recommend Khorosani, which is a 10 minute walk for vegetarians.

For really lovely shawls, towels, and hand made soaps, go to the family run business Yilmaz Ipekcilik which is near Topkapi Palace entrance of Gullhane Park. They make their own silk and hand weave all the textiles they sell at very reasonable prices. It's also about a 10 minute walk from the hotel in the area that has beautiful old wooden houses that have been reconverted into hotels.

Hotel very well located in the old quarter, close to many of the attractions and public transport. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and they speak English. Hotel has good facilities plus free internet - computer supplied! Breakfast is Turkish, so dont expect an English one.Ask staff to tell you of the places to visit, this was more useful than the tourist books. Arrange your own cab to the hotel from the airport L35.00.

The rooms at Hotel Erguvan were very clean and cozy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast served on the roof terrace offered a great view of the Sea of Marmaris. The location is very good, about 3 minutes from the Blue Mosque. We would absolutely recommend this hotel!

We had a marvelous stay in Istanbul at the Erguvan Wonderful interiors, perfect location .Service by the staff was instantaneous and courteous. I just recommended this hotel to my friends who will stay there later this year.
