“It was beautiful stay!”

This hotel was given to by my tour operator as a part of a 10 days tour. This hotel was the first what I saw in Istanbul and I really like it. It was very clean, nice service. Food was fine. The most what I like - is decoration inside (with a lot of old stuff) and outside of the hotel (wooden house). And it was a lot of flowers all around hotel. Also location of the hotel is perfect, just few minutes away from Blue Mosque. So I have enjoyed it a lot. I really advice this hotel.

“Really cute boutique hotel in an AMAZING location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

My husband and I went to Istanbul for our honeymoon and stayed at this hotel. I am a sucker for all things historic, so staying in a boutique hotel that used to be a pasha's mansion was really fun for me. The architecture is so interesting, and I loved all of the details inside, especially the antiques they chose to display in the hallways and lobby.

The rooms were kind of small and not very luxurious (but very clean and nice), so if you are looking for all of the comforts of a 5-star chain hotel, then you better stay somewhere else. This place has character and charm, though, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay someplace that was interesting, quiet, calm, and incredibly close to many major tourist attractions. The location is amazing. Situated in the heart of Sultanahmet area, it is about a 5-10 minute walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. In fact, my husband and I would walk back to the hotel in between seeing sites to use the bathroom and rest for a little bit, so we would be fully energized to see the next place.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet because the streets are not busy here. We stayed in the room pictured above (the...

“An oasis of calm after a busy day sight seeing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Booked with GREEN ISLAND HOLIDAYS as part of a twin centre deal. Stayed at this Hotel 14th Oct-18th Oct.
The flight was with PEGASUS AIRLINES from STANSTEAD to SAHBINA GORKEN Airport. The Airline was fine and the cabin crew friendly and polite. If you want a meal during the flight make sure you pre book it, as the cabin crew ran out of hot meals anyway.
On arrival we took the 'HAVAS' shuttle Bus from directly outside the Airport terminal. It cost 12TL each (very approx £4). The journey should take 45-60mins into TASKIM SQUARE ( oURS TO 1 3/4 HOURS due to rush hour traffic.
The Taxi from Taskim Square to the Hotel cost 17TL.
The Hotel appears quite small but is lovely inside. The reception staff were polite and helpful. The lift between floors is quite small so get used to using the stairs. Our room was smaller than we thought but to be fair it was fine for of needs. The bed was great with crisp clean sheets. The bathroom was good with plenty of hot water for the shower/bath. A nice touch was the scented lavender bag and hand made soaps. Our view from the room was a rined soaked muddy back yard but to fair the three ducks gave us great amusement.
The Hotel is approximately a 5-8 minute walk from The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Be warned though there is a steep incline up the side of the Hotel to get to the main tourist area so if you are elderly, have walking difficulties or handicapped you might find it difficult. Enroute to the main points of interest there are plenty of Restaurants and Cafe's to eat at. We tended to eat further afield in Sultanahmet and the Bazaar quarter.
We did find it colder then expected so wrap up warm. One downside is the large amount of tourist groups at the more famous locations ( What should we expect really). As independant travellers we found they seemed to be rushed around the locations by the guides. If you want to go along by yourselves and want that 'extra' amount of information just hire the Audio guides (around 10 TL).
On no occasion did we fell threatened or intimidated by the local people who help with locating certain streets and my bad Tukish. I certainly felt safer in Istanbul than I have done in some of the streets in London.
Would we recommend this Hotel: YES! but be advised of the walk up hill.
Would we recommend Istanbul: YES! the history and culture were truly amazing.

“Charmingly nice and clean”

When you're in search for a hotel that makes you feel 'at home', then Yusufpasa konagi is the place to be. We experienced a very good service, the rooms are very handsome (in a local style) and for breakfest there's a range of (Turkish) bread, grilled vegetables, olives, yoghurt, cheese etc.
Located nearby some of the greatest attractions of Istanbul (a.o. Topkapi palace, Aya Sofia, Yerebatan Sarnici, Grand Bazaar...) it deserves our recommendation!

We'd like to thank the Manager for his helpfulness, at three o'clock in the morning, when our cab-driver dint't show up. So we catched our plane!

Room Tip: The're all different, and charmingly nice. We slept very well (9 people / 4 rooms)

-Small but well appointed and clean rooms
-Nice bathroom with hand made soap and a pouch of lavender, very nice touch
- Well decorated communal areas
- Helpful reception staff

The only downside is the steep incline you have to negotiate to get to the main tourist area
