This hotel really has the local spirit! Its interior looks like a mix of old Turkish style with old Turkish-European...whatever it means. The location is the best you can get in Istanbul - 100 metres from the very middle of the Old Centre. Nice touristic area around with good restaurants and main historical attractions. The staff is very friendly and compassionate. They really seem to love what they are doing, put their soul into this business. You will find a great variety of real antique things around, lamps, furniture. Besides fantastic rooms all of which are unique, the hotel has its own authentic restaurant, a cozy library, a huge museum of antique, a suprisingly sunny and fun inner yard and attractive shops. What is more important you can walk everywhere you want, sit for hours in the gorgeous cafe downstairs, talk to the friendly owner, read a book, watch the passers-by and at the same time really feel at home.
And for those who are a bit worried about going to "Asia" - this hotel (as well as much as rest of the city) is in fact quite developed in service: English speaking staff, Wi-Fi, safety lockers at reception, regular cleaning, etc.
The main disadvantages are other guests (as usual) and expensive price.
