“An openhearted hotel with a very special character.”

This hotel really has the local spirit! Its interior looks like a mix of old Turkish style with old Turkish-European...whatever it means. The location is the best you can get in Istanbul - 100 metres from the very middle of the Old Centre. Nice touristic area around with good restaurants and main historical attractions. The staff is very friendly and compassionate. They really seem to love what they are doing, put their soul into this business. You will find a great variety of real antique things around, lamps, furniture. Besides fantastic rooms all of which are unique, the hotel has its own authentic restaurant, a cozy library, a huge museum of antique, a suprisingly sunny and fun inner yard and attractive shops. What is more important you can walk everywhere you want, sit for hours in the gorgeous cafe downstairs, talk to the friendly owner, read a book, watch the passers-by and at the same time really feel at home.
And for those who are a bit worried about going to "Asia" - this hotel (as well as much as rest of the city) is in fact quite developed in service: English speaking staff, Wi-Fi, safety lockers at reception, regular cleaning, etc.
The main disadvantages are other guests (as usual) and expensive price.

Room Tip: Be ready to carry luggage upstairs since there is no elevator and the ladder is quite tough. Have a...

“Excellent hotel, good price, fantastic staff”

We have spent one night at this hotel, ideally located close to the Blue Mosk, the Grand Baazar, etc. Very different, nicely decorated, very original. And most of it, the staff is just amazing. Go and see "Mike", the owner of the hotel and he will receive you in his room, which looks like the back of a carpet store, plenty of nice and original stuff and he will tell you great stories about him, but also Istanbul. Quite magic.

The Kybele Hotel is a real typpical Turkish Hotel, it's situated near to the Aya Sofia, The Sultanhamet and theTopkapi Palace. It's situated in a quiet street. It also has a Restaurant with good food. The staff is Very Friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is full with little Turkish Lamps, which creates a very nice athmosphere. It's really a placfe to go ! “Wonderful place to stay.”

You'll never find a nicer hotel in Istanbul. Apart from the convenience of it's locality, being within walking distance to the major historical attractions, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, the food is the best, the rooms are comfortable, clean and interestingly decorated with antique furnishings. The eclectic roof patio is the place to rest in quiet tranquility or eat your meals. Altogether a colourful and wonderful experience.

Room Tip: There isn't a bad one.
