We sought a boutique hotel, close to the main tourist hub but peaceful. We found it. Just a stone's throw from the Blue Mosque, this might just be the best hotel in the old town. Despite its location, with coaches passing the front door, it is remarkably peaceful. Unlike business or tourist hotels in most major cities, the Ersina seems almost shy; staff are friendly and helpful, but not overbearing or pushy - a welcome relief.
The 5th floor terrace restaurant, overlooking the Bosphorous, is small but delightful. Mind you, it can be chilly at night. Cuisine is wholesome without being elaborate. Our room was elegant and comfortable, but a little cramped and TV performance was erratic.
Overall, heartily recommnded for a short stay.
