“One of the best places to stay in Istanbul”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

What to say about this hotel? Spaces, ambience, cleanliness, staff friendliness and service, comfort, food, everything is just perfect and in a way far better and more personal comparing to the usual indiferent standard 4 or 5 star hotels...

The place is unique, 5 minutes walk from the most important monuments of the city (St. Sofia church, the blue mosque and topkapi palace) and at the same time, not far (with a taxi) from many other important places. However, although so near a highly touristic part, the road is very-very quiet!!

The view from the 2nd rooms on both sides of the building is very nice, (front: Marmara sea, rear: a turkish neighbourhood a bit poor, but of quite local colour, and the tops of St Sophia church and Blue Mosque to the back!!)just ask not to be given 1st floor rear looking rooms(these ones have a small problem, looking at a backyard).

Breakfast buffet....Simply, one of the best I have ever seen in my life...

Ambience as a whole: If it is your 1st time in Istanbul, I blieve in Armada you are getting a good first impression of this city!!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on top (2nd) floor, or if 1st floor then NOT REAR VIEW. 2nd floor both sides of the bu...

Very nice boutique hotel, close to all the important sites to visit. Our room was lovely, nice and tidy and with a view on the sea and the walls. Very good service - everybody was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and abundant with a very wide choice. Worth a stay there, and I'd definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to friends. Roberta Clerici

“High praise for the Armada”

The location is in the heart of where we wanted to be -- short walks to all the sights and to the Tram. Hotel is lovely, staff is very helpful, breakfast buffet is excellent and abundant, rooms are newly renovated yet full of charm, wireless was fast, and price is reasonable. be sure to ask for a glass of their own cherry cordial after dinner -- a great way to end a day. We stayed here January 24-28, 2012

“Armada Hotel's Great Location & Fine Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Armada Hotel is located inside the old city of Istanbul (Constantinople / Byzantium) near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, & Tokapi Palace. Within walking distance of this clean, attractive, comfortable Hotel you have many tiny cafes, restaurants, shops, and historic sites. The breakfast included with the room is generous and the staff are very, very helpful for first-time visitors. You can walk up the hill to see the sites & the Bosphorous is close by for pictures. We found our room to be extremely comfortable and ecologic.

Room Tip: Room 104 looks out on a roof with a few other buildings that obscure the view, but the view from the...

We had a wonderful stay in Dec 2011 in the Armada. It is very well located for sightseeing, with all the main attractions within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean and eveybody is very friendly. The roof terrace has a beautiful view of the Hagia Sopia and the Blue Mosque.
