A very good hotel located just 200m from the Grand Bazar and T1 tram line. MOdern and well kept. Only hotel with an "English" pub in Istanbul (their claim to fame) - but why got to Istanbul for a pint when there are lots of fantastic coffee shops and restaurants? Good buffet breakfast.

We stayed at the best western when we upgraded our hotel through gate one travels. The only complain we had is the first night they overbooked the hotel so we had to stay at the hotel across the street which was no big deal and they made up for it in spades. The hotel sent over a very nice set of flower and when we went back to the best western the next day, they had our rooms ready along with the a very nice fruit basket and a bottle of wine. On top of that they treated us to some drinks at their bar, a day at their spa and an amazing meal at the rooftop terrace restaurant which I would recommend to everyone. In the morning the buffet breakfast is reason enough to stay there with a vast selection of food for even the pickiest of eaters and a nice view overlooking the sea. The staff was always ready to help and if anything the cleaning staff was a bit too eager to clean the room but that is probably our fault for not putting up the do not disturb sign. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone and given as we loved Istanbul and want to go back, I will keep them at the top of the list for our next trip. Also the hotel is no more than a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Hagia Sophia, hippodrome and bazaar. We were there for only 4 days so there was not enough time to see everything. On a side note, everything was booked through Gate One travel which I have recommended to all our friends. I expected so much less and got so much more than we had bargained for.

My friend and I spent 5nights at the Best Western in December. We booked a double room with 2 beds and we found tha rooms quite small for 2 people and the walls are very thin, you can actually here people talking next door which was a little disturbing, however the hospitality was good. The room was clean and pleasant. The staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was good and had a lot to choose from. Hotel location is very good and close to the Tram station and the Grand Bazzar as well as local tourist attractions. We will definitely return. I highly recommend the Best Western to anyone who is looking for a luxury but affordable stay in Istanbul.

My sister and I spent 2 night at the President in August 2011. Although the lifts were being replaced during our stay the disruption was kept to a minimum. We were also impressed by the speed at which the work was being carried out. The room was very pleasant and commensurate with the hotels ranking. Upon checking in we asked for a sea view and the concierge obliged but said it might take an hour to prepare. Whilst we waited we were served cocktails at the rooftop bar. This is probably the best bit of the hotel with an indoor swimming pool and large sun deck with loungers and a pletiful supply of clean towels. There is direct access one floor down to the well equipt gym and spa. The views of the city from the rooftop are simply amazing. There is also a smart restaurant on the roof however we found it a little pricey for our wallets and didn't try it. We had booked a bed and breakfast rate and the buffet style breakfast had more than enough choice and was well worth it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and in fact I am planning to revisit for a couple of days this spring.
