“Great staff and great location!”

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights while in Istanbul, Turkey on our honeymoon. It was perfect! The room is small (the one we got) but very nice and the location of the hotel is to die for. You can easily walk to all the tourist hot spots, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. The only spot that we had to walk a bit to get to was the Spice Market, but everything else was right there. Great! The staff was great too, always ready to help, they even told us how much the taxis should cost so we wouldn't get taken for a ride (thanks Sebo, Onder and Ramo, you were all great). I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is well designed/pleasing to the eye and they offer a wonderful breakfast.

Lastly, the hotel doesn't have an elevator, which is fine for most people, but if you are not quite as quick as you use to be try and get a room close to the ground floor.

“Great stay, friendly service”

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and I have to say it really was wonderful stay. Staff was awesome...they picked us up from the airport and dropped us off. Whenever we needed something- whether it was plugs for our computers to directions on where to go, they were there!! Breakfast was great. All in all it was a cozy place in the heart of Sulanahmet.... We were walking distance from everything... the grand bazaar, the blue mosque, and so on... I definitely recommend it if u are looking for a nice cozy traditional Turkish stay!! :) The room We were in was a small but cosy.... thats the only thing..but realistically speaking... we were only tere to sleep in the room ..so it really didnt matter if it was small!!!

An awesome rooftop breakfast with a beautiful view of the water... It was fantastic! I would go there again!

“Friendly staff”

I stayed for 3 nights in December, and was generally happy. The best part was definitely the very helpful staff. I got a great tip from Sabahattin for a local concert one night, he really made a big effort to help me find something that fitted just what I was looking for.

The room (#203) was OK, but certainly nothing special. It was fine for winter, but would be a little dark and enclosed for summertime. The location was spectacular for Sultanahmet's highlights. The area is definitely oriented to catering for tourists, so if you are looking for a more authentically 'local' experience you may want to stay outside this area, and travel in by the quick and easy tram service.

“Great location”

We spent 4 days At the Grand Peninsula in July, 2011. The hotel is an excellent location... a five minute walk to most of the main attractions in old Istanbul. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean and bright and breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our stay. The roof top view was exquisite. Very reasonably priced.
