We stayed at old city hostel istanbul and we realy liked it so much..thanks to everybody there...

This is the place to stay in Sultanahmet. I have traveled to Istanbul several times and stayed in at least three hotels in Sultanahmet. This was, by far, the nicest, friendliest, and best value. Our room was very nice, clean, and comfortable and it is very close to all the sights. The hotel staff is great and breakfast offers a wide variety. You can't go wrong here-- highly recommend!

p.s. also note that there is a travel agency nearby that offers cheap (about 6 euros) airport pickup and dropoff.

I would not recommend this hotel. Our room 202 was very cramped and the bathroom was also very cramped. The only thing that this hotel had to offer was its location. We were introduced to our bedroom. We were not told how to use the safe and there was no kettle to make a cuppa. There was no room for our cases as the room was really small. We ordered a taxi for the Sabiha Gocken airport and the taxi arrived at Ataturk Airport! We nearly missed our plane. The receptionist was asked to call us on the morning of our departure and they did not. We ordered a breakfast before our early departure and they did not have it ready. It appreared to me that they tell you that they understand your request when in fact they do not. This is not a hotel that I could recommend and we were very disappointed with the service.

Oldcity hotel is a wonderful hotel. We were in Istanbul for our honeymoon and we couldn't have choose a better place to stay.
The hotel itself is really beautiful and our room was very large and comfortable.

The breakfast was very nice and various and the staff was really helpfull.
The position of the hotel is really good, just a few steps from the most important things to see in Sultanahmet.

I would surely recommend this hotel and I would come back there in the future.
