This hostel isn't very good, but it's not bad either. We were 4 friends staying in a 4-bed room that was quite small, but that wasn't really a problem. The room and the bathrooms (the one in the bedroom and the common one also) were pretty dirty, though, and the breakfast was just ok. The room was warm and there was hot water to take showers (except once that my friend had to wait an hour cause the warm water was over).
Location is excellent. The neighbourhood was really nice and friendly, next to the touristic area. Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, restaurants and other attractions are just a few minutes walk from there, and it felt safe to walk at night. The tram line is close by and the train station is not far. A shuttle van to the airport was not very expensive and was really worthy taking it since we could split the bill among us.
The room was kept locked, we had no security issues. Also, the staff acted kinda strange, but we had no problem at all and everything was ok.
