Check in - Reception staff was efficient and had the reservation information on hand
Housekeeping staff - They are also good. The room was clean and equipped with their soap and shampoo. Towels OK. Hot water hot, not just warm.
Room - Nicely appointed with a good goose neck desk lamp (other, more expensive hotels have few lights/lamps and they are dim). Room was on the quiet side of the hotel and on the 2nd floor, which was good;
Internet - Much better than other Tashkent hotels I have stayed in
Restaurant - Much better and less expensive than other Tashkent hotels I have stayed in;
The Other Guests - much more interesting than in other Tashkent hotels I have stayed in.
At the Grand Orzu there is an international, multicultural group representing tourists, NGO's, UN orgs, etc. Not just a bunch of Central or South Asian businessmen.
