The Rovshan is a comfortable hotel in a decent, if rather hidden, location.
I stayed there the first two and the last nights of my stay in Uzbekistan, and I was very satisified with everything.
One thing I encountered there which I have not encountered anywhere else was that the bed was made up with only one sheet (that happens sometimes in India too), BUT after I had raided the second bed for a top sheet, I discovered a second sheet under my pillow, clean, folded up just waiting to be put on.
The restaurant in the basement was really pleasently decorated, giving it an inviting ambience. The food was good and inexpensive.
I found the front desk staff very helpful, and a warm welcome at 2.30am is a real plus.
I paid $US 25/night as a single for room and breakfast.
