We stayed at YMCA, Colombo at the end of our tour around Sri Lanka. As it is in Lonely Planet, we assumed, that it is going to be cheap, but good accommodation. Actually, it was the worst accomodation I have stayed in. It is not cheap. For this price /1090 rupees per doubleroom entsuite plus 40 rupees for memebership/, you can stay in a nice hostel just at the beach. The room was filthy. Furniture was old and dirty. Bathroom was terrible with leaking toilet and really worn bathtub. However, the common bathrooms were more horrible, really stinking, filthy. As we arrived at poja day /fullmoon/, national holiday, the restaurant was closed. Surroundings are not nice, especially in the evening and at night it is dangerous to go outside.
