We spent about 5 days here so I can definitely say that I know this hotel pretty well. Reception staff is definitely very hospitable.. especially the duty managers, however, the travel desk staff needs more training on this. Rooms are big and spacious and very comfortable but the only drawback I experienced was the wardrobe as it had space only hangers but no platform/ shelves at all. We changed our room because of some engineering issue and were very kindly given an upgrade to the suite which was great. The rooms do have a bit of a musty smell but thats because of the carpet on the floor ... but then I guess even new hotels have this problem. The food is ok however the service in the restaurant and the room is quick and very good. The security staff and the hotel drivers are very protective which made us feel very comfortable and safe. I will definitely consider this hotel for my next trip.

Specious clean rooms, nice bathroom; buffet breakfast with international and Sri Lankan food;, clean pool; good location only few minute walk from the beach.

Minus: The asked a deposit of 50$, although the room was paid in advance.

We were touring sril lanka and chose to stay at Ramada in colombo before heading towards the rest of our tour. Its quite an average stay and seems very obvious that the hotel has seen better days and is now in need of renovation of sorts. However, the food was really good and better than anything we had in the rest of our holiday in Sri Lanka. The location is very good and close to Galle face. In short, okay for a single day stay to explore Colombo.

We stayed here on our first night in Sri Lanka. We arrived at around 6pm (having been awake for 30 hours) and checked into our room straight away. Our room was great - very big with two double beds and quiet air conditioning! We ate at the hotel restaurant and had the best meal we had all holiday! The staff were great (follow their recommendations off the menu!) and we would stay here again!
