“Decent price with a refreshing pool & AC, private bathrooms...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

I was pretty happy with this find - value for money, with a refreshing good-sized pool, AC and private bathrooms, not far from the heart of Vientiane.

Don't come here expecting anything new or luxurious, but if relief from the heat in the pool and AC is what ur after at a decent price, I'd say give Villa Sisavad a try.

I stayed 2 nights and was more than happy.

“Could have been nice but the GH wasn't neglected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2011

I'm quite disappointed with this GH after having decided for it based on the previous reviews.
Room is dark, damp and had seen better days. Lot of mosquitoes.
Ok there is a pool but this is not enough to make a good stay.
Wifi is weak but look like it is the case in many places in Laos.
Breakfast is US$3 per head which makes the overall stay expensive compare to similar GH in Vientiane.
Location is not very good without a bicycle but you can find street food at walking distance.

“Not too friendly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

Stayed here for 3 nights.

Staff does not speak/understand English.

Wifi is very very slow, but free.

It's 2km from downtown so be prepared to walk a lot, it's hard to get a tuktik from here.

“great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2010

I enjoyed my stay in this friendly family run hotel. it is great value, better than any others I heard of, it's position is away from tourist area which I like, the pool was wonderful every afternoon. the breakfasts are good, and I would recommend it to those who don't demand super cleanliness, but just want to have a relaxing time and a pool.

“Villa Sisavad - Please paint the wall asap!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2010

For the forth time i have stayed at this run down Villa, my earlier visits were ok, the rooms were nice and clean enough and the swimming pool was not too bad. But this time I got the worst of all rooms n.14 (i hope there is no worst than this). Air conditioner old and noisy, had it to run for 24hr before getting a fairly cool room. The shower hose was broken and the water was running scarcely. The wall were covered with mould in some places. Had some gecko "waste" on the wall. The swimming pool was slimy. They also charged me for using the in house wi-fi ($1.30) when in these days internet it's free almost everywhere. The price for the room is still 500THB as for my previous visits but still will not be enough to assure my next visit. The French owners should give it a good hand of paint, fix the showers hoses, the old air conditioners and clean the swimming pool regularly. And maybe they will see me back again.
