Had an 11 Night Stay in the Ramada Plaza. The Hotel used to be an Intercontinental with Casino, Nightclubs and good food. It isn't any more.....
Rooms an OK space with Kingsize bed and good work desk and free wifi - I understand that the quality of the wifi varies and some rooms are in blackspots with no signal. I had a decent signal. I could even video call on Skype. My room was clean and well maintained. AC/heating worked well and plenty of hot water.
Staff and service good (with exception of those at breakfast). 10 minutes after I asked for a coffee, I got a cup of tea one day! The chef manning the egg station sometimes goes missing for 10 minutes at a time.
The spa and health club was good. Various saunas and steam rooms and an indoor swimming pool.
Nice bar "The Windsor Lounge" on the first floor. Although why they don't have a bar/lounge on the top floor so guests can take in the views is beyond me.
The real let down is the food. It's very poor and not what one expects from a supposedly five star international hotel. The breakfast buffet is dire. As well as being poor, the food is overpriced. Thankfully there's a moderate Irish pub/steak house 2 minutes walk away and an OK Italian Restaaurant/Pizzeria 5 minutes walk away.
Stay here if you must and budget doesn't run to the Rixos or the Radisson, but you will need to find somewhere else to eat.
Room Tip: Higher the better for the views. Lower floors look onto building sites on two sides.
