“Private pool room worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I recently stayed with a friend for 5 nights at the Pavilion in the private pool room. The room has a lovely courtyard with a large plunge pool - about 2.5m x 5m. Loved not having to stress about whether lounges by the pool were available or not!

Tuk tuk drivers out the front were great (English pretty good) - we looked after them and they looked after us!

Seems like a really safe area. Streets 240 and 178 are close by and really great for shopping! Mekong quilts within walking distance on St 240 and I must recommend garden of desire jewellery shop on street 178 (near the museum) - very unique jewellery (not cheap, but not expensive either!).

All of the staff at the pavilion were really great as well. Nothing was a problem.

Room Tip: Pool rooms are well worth it!

“An oasis in bustling Phnom Penh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This report is based on a stay in May 2008, and therefore it might not be the case today (not possible to choose that, therefore the date below is not correct). But I still want to tell you that we just had a wonderful stay here! It was just like returning to an oasis after a long day around Phnom Penh, with the pool and the beautiful garden. The breakfast wasn't plentiful, therefore 4 instead of 5.

“Worth the reviews”

Stayed at the Pavilion for our first 2 nights in Cambodia and was impressed and agree that the hotel deserves its very strong reviews.

We stayed in the basic double which was clean, comfortable and well-equipped (TV, safe, hair dryer, kettle, iPod dock, computer). There was free wireless Internet and an excellent breakfast served by the very pleasant pool.

Service at the bar which also serves snacks and light meals was a little slow but more than balanced by the very attentive and willing reception staff who rectified a minor issue encountered during our stay when mentioned to them.

Excellent value for money and I would certainly stay here again.

“"WOW!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The first thing you see when pulling up at the Pavilion is the two white elephants and a high white painted fence. But when you walk through the gate, the first words that come out of your mouth are "WOW!" You walk in past the huge pool area which is full of palm trees and other plants, with daybeds and lounges strategically placed for privacy amongst the trees. We stayed two nights and then came back a few days later for another night. We stayed in the same suite room both times and the kids room was located nearby (they had a twin room then a triple room). Each room was equipped with their own computer with fast internet (which kept the teenagers happy!) The staff were friendly and very efficient. Breakfast was beside the pool and good. It was not the typical buffet style that every other hotel catered for, but a simplified menu with a choice of eggs. We had a complimentary 25 minute massage on each visit which was great. Location was in a quieter area near the palace, with tuk tuks located at the front gate and good local restaurants nearby. It was also close enough to walk to the river area where all the action was. Phnom Penh has one of the cleanest and tidiest Night Markets that we have ever seen in Asia. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend The Pavilion.

“Wonderful Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Small - But nice!
Very friendly Staff and an excellent Place to spend some Days in Phnom Phen.
One of the Best Places to relax after a hot and busy day is the wonderful Garden Area.

We travell since over twenty Years in Asia.
This was our first visit in Cambodia. But probably not our last!
The price performance ratio is perfect. Of Course it's not that cheap then at other Hotels but where can you get an Oases in the Middle of the Town?

Greatings from Switzerland!
