This is part of my 12 day Vietnam and Cambodia tour. The hotel are booked by the travel agent. I have to be honest, this is the lowest ranked among the hotels I stayed on this trip.
The hotel location is acceptable as it is at the edge of the river and has a nice river view. It is within "walking" distance to shops, restaurants, an amusement park and a new casino. However, the night life is further away and you will need to hire a taxi or tuktuk.
the reception area is ok. Clean and roomy.
The rooms are very large and the bed was comfortable and TV has many channels.
This hotel has great potential. Howver, it needs remodeling and better maintenance overall. The carpet in the hall was rippled. It needs to be stretched or replaced. It is a safety hazard. The TV screen is small and old.
There are several improvement opportunities:
(1) Need to provide free wifi internet to be competative with other hotels in town.
(2) Brighter lights by the bed to allow reading.
(3) Decors are showing age, need remodeling
(4) Need to insist on better maintenance and cleaning. The place can look acceptable on photos, but up close in person, you feel it is a run down place. It is not dirty, but not quite as sparkingly clean as I hope it should be.
If I come to town again, I would try another newer hotel, unless this place is renovated.
Room Tip: Ask for river view rooms, very peaceful room with the view.
