Chose this from the Lonely Planet reviews that said it was the best mid-priced hotel around central BSB. Location IS good, just 10 minutes walk to the 'city centre', bus terminal, jetty and main shops. Also, there's a food court/stalls just across the road from the the hotel with lots of choice. However, if you're feeling lazy, the food at the hotel is really good.

There is no WIFI in rooms, you'll have to go to the lobby.

The people working at reception were really friendly, but gave us wrong information! We wanted to book a taxi to the ferry terminal, but instead they told us to take the express bus. When we mentioned we were pressed for time to catch the ferry (which is why we wanted a taxi in the first place), they said that the last ferry would wait for the last express bus. We waited for the bus, and of course, missed the ferry.

OK, other things aside, you check into a hotel to sleep, and this is where the hotel failed terribly. Horrible, old, you could feel them squeaking, they were so soft (in a bad way). And also, the covers; there was a really heavy coverlet on top of a really thin towel like blanket. So the thin blanket shifts every which way while the heavy coverlet practically makes you feel claustrophobic. Hated it, could hardly fall asleep.

Avoid, or bring your own sleeping bag.

It isn't luxury and feels a little dated but it is certainly nicer than staying in a hostel. The pool is lovely but not all that clean. The rooms are comfortable with en suite hot water bathrooms, tv and tea and coffee making facilities.

well, it was delapidated, old , smelt, filthy room, the service was ok, but for the money please look elswhere, it was more like a cheap bangkok hangout hotel definately not wotrth the money, its only saving grace, if there was one, big food, and not too far from the airport, thankl heaven for small mercies

I was a little unsure of staying here after reading a few reviews, but I needn't have worried.

The staff were always friendly, helpful, and accommodating of any requests we made. The room was VERY outdated, but it was comfortable and quiet, plus you don't come here to spend all the time in your room! The pool was lovely, and in nice surroundings.

Breakfast was not included in the price, but it was cheap ($6 for the breakfast pictured) and pretty good. There aren't many restaurants nearby, but the hotel one was delicious and pretty cheap.

Wifi only worked in the lobby, but comfy seats for it.

The location is excellent, just a short stroll to the Royal Regalia Museum, and then on to "downtown" Bandar Seri Begawan. While there isn't a huge amount to do in BSB, if you're here for a quick stopover, Terrace is perfect as it is convenient to the most interesting sites (mosque, museum, water village).

Organise your airport pick-up/drop-off through the hotel as it will only be $15 as opposed to $25.
