“SOP Hotel”

Very much a SOP hotel. Far from any ammenities like malls (not that there is a lot of malls in Brunei to begin with) or attractions.

Everything in the room is very old but still functional and kept clean. I like the free Wifi which is fast and the cafe on the 3rd floor which has a good range of food and taste quite good.

Ideal for a budget business stay hotel.

This hotel has taken a dive in the last year or so.
The rooms are tired and drab, the aircons are old and noisy and cannot be adjusted or set. The style is of the old 1970's Holiday Inns and the whole place needs a facelift. Even the shops that were in the lobby have closed down.
Not recommended except for budget travellers and then again the price would be too high.

My mother and I stayed 6 nights at this excellent hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were 4 restaurants and the one just off the lobby allowed us to bring our own wine. The pool area was delightful especially when they hosted a children's birthday party in the afternoon. There were very few guests staying there at the time. The complimentary shuttle took us to the local shopping malls and collected us. We used the local buses which were very cheap and great fun. we enjoyed having our copy of the Brunei Bulletin which was very informative. We would definitely stay there again.
