Although the hotel looks like Dodge City from the outside, the inside has been recently renovated, with clean bathrooms & fittings in each room.
The hotel is well located - only 1 street behind Republic Square. The balconies have a wonderful view over Ararat & Yerevan. For the keen photographers, you can conivnce the hotel staff to allow you onto the hotel roof to take some nice photos from up there.
Breakfast is your usual Armenian fare of jams, cheeses, eggs, bread etc.
Rooms were comfortable and the price was excellent - we paid 26000AMD (approx 50USD) for a twin share room including all taxes and breakfast per night.
There are a number of conference rooms available for groups. There is also a 24-hour doorman who gets to know you very quickly and is quick to get rid of any troublemakers .
