We booked this hotel through our tour agent. Due to the number of rooms needed for our group and it was just after tet, most hotels dont that much rooms available, so my cousin recommended bao dai's villas(looks good on the internet). Anyways, when we arrived to this hotel...the first thing was they requested on increase on the room rate of $? cant remember the exact amount seeing that my friend was an european, and we were like "why dont you give us exact quote when we booked"? they like prices are different for locals and international clients... so ok, we then showed all 14 passports(we were all Australian-Vietnamese) and guess what ... each rooms was charged $10US extra cos we are viet-kieu, I thought this rule was long gone! so yes we wont so happy about the extra charge but stayed one night, could have found some place better for the price that we paid.!

the rooms - it was small but clean - door nobes are alittle tricky to open!

breakfast - served breakfast buffet - like others.

What I like about the villas? was the view down to the shore and very refreshing living up in the high lands.

We booked two nights at Bao Dai Villas but we only stayed for one. We payed 60USD and got a ok room, very big, clean and with a seaview but the interior was outdated, terrible lamps (hospital-style), and hardly and water at full "speed" in the bath. Breakfast was another disaster. When we got the the resturant at 8am (they only serve until 9am) there was no buffe at all. They told us it was due to the lack of guests at the time which is understandable but then came the shock. We could order from a breakfast menu but only ONE drink and ONE dish per person. To clarify a scabble eggs dish is only made of two small eggs and that is it. We walked out of the resurant and complained at the reception who helped us get at least some fruit and coffee with our eggs and juice. Howevere, yopu should nog have to nag our way into getting som breakfast which is included in the room rate. So all in all not worth the money!!!!!

This hotel should rate as a 1-star hotel. The standard 2 beds room is very small. I think it just for one person rather than for 2 persons. There was a 19 inch TV. Make sure the bevarage put in your room match with the inventory sheet. Breakfast is not good. Not much. I will not come back to this hotel again.

Stayed at Boa Dai Villas for 2 nights in March 07. They villa's are in a very bad state of repair and are very dated. The first room we had didn't have a window, the next one we stayed in did have a window but was very pokey and the bathroom didn't have a shower (just a bath). The other main down side is that it is a good mile or more from Nha Trang centre so you have to get a taxi to and from town (there is no pavement to walk along). We only paid $25 a night a room so I guess you get what you pay for, this is a budget hotel/villas. The Breakfast was also pretty awful.
I would though recommend the Asia Pacific Hotel or Nha Trang Lodge which are both more centre in Nha Trang and rooms should be around $45.
