I found the location excellent, within walking distance of the river and central market and with many restaurants nearby. The service from Reception and the bellboy was excellent too.
Following tips on TA, I asked for a room on a high floor and the view was great, especially at night with the lights reflected on the river.
What I didn't like was the strong smell of damp - OK I know we're in the tropics but the smell was really strong once I was in the bed - I didn't want to change rooms at that point so did not complain but if you go to this hotel, check the bed while you still have time to change rooms. Also our room, 801, was immediately above the breakfast room and was noisy from 5 am.
Room Tip: High floor rooms have the best views.
