After our hotel in Hoi An we were looking for a good hotel. The Morin is listed as one of the best and after reading the history (it started in 1901 all be it a little smaller) we became interested.

We got a good package deal with which we were entitled to one dinner in the hotel. The dinner was actually very tasteful with an interesting mix of Asian and Western cuisine. If we had stayed longer in Hue we might had more dinners in the hotel. It is rare to say this as hotel food usually is quite average as they try to make it suitable for all kinds of guests. The buffet breakfast was good as well.

Our room with view on the river was good. A good comfortable bed, a well appointed bathroom, satellite TV with enough interesting channels, fresh fruit and of course coffee and tea making facilities.

We took a tour from the hotel and it was the best we had in Vietnam. Even though it was raining the whole day it did not matter as mr. Thong kept us interested. His knowledge about the area is excellent. The car for the tour was very good either and the driver was very decent.

After our tour we had a massage which we can recommend to anyone. Also the pedicure was very good.

All in all the hotel really lived up to its reputation. We are planning to return to Hue and one of the reasons is just the Saigon Morin. Highly recommended.

We stayed here in January 2012. When we arrived we were upgraded to a gorgeous two room suite which is bigger than our house. The weather was really bad when we were ther so we enjoyed the luxury of the room. This hotel isnt pretending to be anything other than what it is. Built in 1900, colonial style big rooms with balconies and views to the river and the chaotic street below. Highly recommend. Rooms are well priced

Excellent hotel, when we arrived we received an upgrade, no extra cost. Check-in was a breeze. The room was on the third floor, on the corner overlooking the river and a four way intersection, simply awesome! We were next to the VIP Room where visiting dignitaries such as Prime Ministers and Kings and Queens of Norway, Sweden, etc., have stayed. Everything was so big! The room was the largest we stayed in across Vietnam. I even had my hair cut here and had a lovely chat to the hairdresser, she did a great job! Restaurant was also great and had music and dancing during dinner. Breakfast buffet was also good. The Panorama Bar on the third floor was a nice place to have afternoon tea and look out over the river and street below. We also went to the night market across the road from the hotel which was fun. Thanks for a great stay!

Great hotel to stay, the old Emperor town from the best side. Location: close to the river, great views from the hotel bar to the bridge and the river.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is just great, nothing to complain about. There is a massage and spa section, with sauna as well. The outdoor pool looks great too, we just could not use it without a wet suit ;-), was to cold.
