To keep this short and sweet, my boyfriend and I went to scope out this hotel after a long train ride. We were checking prices all along the same road as this hotel and getting very comparable prices (10-15 USD). We asked to see the room, it wasn't the prettiest, but we're used to that, so we said yes. My boyfriend went with the guy who showed us the room because he asked for our passports. I went to the washroom to wash my hands and I noticed the sink was hanging on the wall by a thread and there was a nice layer of mold hugging the walls. I am OK with cracks and stains, but mold and stench? So without EVER checking in, we headed downstairs not but 5 minutes after we looked at the room. The man at the front who had our passports wanted us to pay 5 USD before we could leave. Now I would have just walked, but he held our passports captive. Before we knew it he was yelling at jabbing fingers at our face, he threatened to call the police. It was a ridiculous situation. Don't go here, it is unclean and the service is the worst I have yet to receive on my two and a half month trip. There are plenty of other cheap hotels neighboring this one.
