This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Palace Hotel in Ho Chi Minh. We are so pleased to be able to say that we were not disappointed in any way. It is so convenient to all tourist attractions, tours available if you require and most importantly, being in such a busy area, very quiet. The service was as impeccable as we have grown to expect, rooms are first class and the restaurant for meals even better. New staff since our last visit but as always extremely helpful, friendly and courteous as only the Palace staff can be. Returning after a trip out of Ho Chi Minh, I said to my husband that it really did feel like home! It is hard to keep up these standards over long periods - well done Palace Hotel.

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the Ben Thanh market and some of the other main attractions in Saigon. There is a supermarket around the corner and a number of money changers within a few meters.

We are family of 4 (inc 2 teenagers) who booked 2 rooms for 3 days, initially we were allocated 2 rooms across 2 floors but after I insisted we were allocated 2 rooms on the same floor. One rooms was great and big but the other room (double) was extremely small. Hence if you are not satisfied with the allocated room ask for another room.

The breakfast was great and had a variety of eastern and western food, the staff were always smiling and very helpful.

Visited the spa with my daughter for a foot massage after a long day of walking (hotel guests get 30% discount), massage was mediocre at best and was pushing for a big tip even though I tipped A$5 each.

The hotel is classified as a 4 star.

The room was comfortable and modern, and the breakfast buffet was quite huge, but the food was cold. What happened was when we checked in, the room was originally for one person but I came along the last minute to accompany my boyfriend. I'm not Vietnamese, and my passport proved it but both of us being Asian, I was immediately looked upon with suspicion as being a prostitute. The look on the receptionist's face was a little too much.

Location-wise it's quite good, but I think you can get better value by going to the hotels at Pham Ngu Lao - cheaper and within walking distance of Ben Thanh Market. Palace is located at Nguyen Hue which is more of a business street but closer to Dong Khoi, which has a lot of artist shops and luxury brands.

The hotel is located close to Saigon River on Hguyen Hue which is within walking distance of many of the attraction of Saigon.
We were fortunate to get moved room when the air conditioning in the first room failed. Second room was much bigger and very modern
Breakfast consisted of buffet which offered an array of food, primarly Asian.
We had a drink on the bar on roof which offered great views over city.
We also ate the buffet lunch in hotel one day which was not particularly noteworthy althogh was very cheap so could not expect too much.

Hotel was clean and tidy, good rooms, great location.
