What more need we say. The pool area especially was not pleasant. We complained to management while staying there and little was done to clean up the area. The hotel is located in a vibrant backpackers area, so maybe that is what they should promote the hotel as- A backpacker guest house.

We found the hotel was not as presented for marketing. The Pool area was always littered with empty bottles/ drink glasses, cigarette butts, full ashtrays, and rubbish around entire area. Totally detracted from wanting to enjoy the services. Informed hotel but met with little response. Generally the place was also grubby and not to international traveller standard. We would NOT recommend this hotel unless maybe backpacking.

This is historical place as American soldiers stayed here in HOTEL METROPOLE. Vietnamese guarrila bombed it twice and is tourist attraction too.. located in district -1 main area a good disco called Gossip bar is nearby. Also there are lot of restaurants nearby making this hotel location good. Overall clean and higenic hotel also it has nice bar and spa. Good lounge for your visitors and meeting good breakfast ofcourse complimentory.. a simple claen place to stay...

Stayed here for 3 nights. First night they gave us a room with terrible view, facing concrete block (which is part of the hotel building). Hotel's lay out, especially its backyard (it's actually tiny ugly open space, not a backyard!), is awful. Seconds after entering the room, I requested another room with better view. They immediately promised me better room which was available on the next day after 1 pm. Surprisingly, they moved us at approx. 10 am the next day, a room facing Nguyen Cu Trinh st. Thumbs up!!

The rooms has newly renovated, but the lobby was rather smelly. Anyway, they'll demolish this hotel by the end of October this year. A 5 star hotel will be built in this location, but gas station right in front of the lobby must be removed too!

Breakfast is OK, variety is also wide. Hotel staff are generally excellent. Room Service's meal is really taste soooo.... good (Pho Bo and Crab Meat Fried Rice).
