“A grand hotel to stay”

My group and I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and then 5 nights for a total of 7 nights in the new luxury wing The new wing is well appointed with polished marble and hard wood floors. I loved the large bathroom with separate soaker tub and glass shower stall. The hotel is just completing a major refurbishment so everything is brand new in the luxury wing. The breakfast buffet offered one of the best selections I have seen offered with a combination of both Western and Asian items. Breakfast chefs were on hand to make omelets; the buffet also included a salad station. The hotel is centrally located in District 1 within walking distance to shopping, and the Ben Thanh Market. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Hanh.

“Fabulous Saigon Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

A grand Hotel which reflects the splendor and glory of a bygone era when French influence was at the forefront. The hotel is undergoing continued renovations but is a masterpiece of French style and ambiance from the stunning reception area through to the colonial elevator still plying its trade between floors.
Centrally located in District 1 it is a wonderful sanctuary for those who enjoy the "good old days".
The rooms are wonderfully kept and furnished in period pieces - we suggest "pool-side" are the best located surrounding a delightful quaint old-world pool area and bar (known as "Old Wing"). A casino is in-house for those that like that sort of thing.
The restaurant is lovely and offers a wonderfully wide variety of both food and wine - the furnishings and decor are stunning.
It is not a large hotel but offers about five floors of boutique excellence at attractive prices.
One of the better hotels in the country.

Room Tip: Suggest "Old-Wing" with Pool View

“GRANDEST OF THEM ALL!”

My family and I have stayed here twice and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in HCMC. Flawless in everything they offer. The old part of the hotel overlooking the pool is superb, the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great value, will be back.

we stayed in the two bedroom suite. It was was lovely and big for us and and our two children. Wonderful staff who couldnt do enough. Great location and within walking distances to the river, shops and restuarants. The hotel is going through major renovations but did not bother us. The only problem was the pool area. Too small with not enough sunbeds.

“Old world charm”

Lovely hotel, we stayed in the suite which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms cause there were three of us. Located near the swimming pool in the old section, with lovely balcony for people watching on the street below. Very good service at reception. Good location. Lots of construction going on inside the hotel currently so was pretty noisy and a bit disorganised. (I suspect that this will be complete soon) The roof top bar is very nice but we were charged $8 for one tiger beer lager so we took our own to the roof the next night which cost us $1 from the street vendour down stairs. Overall very nice place
