Ms Sunny was incredible to deal with and a delight to meet when we made it to Hanoi. She organised train tickets for us to Sapa and back and the young guy who took us to the station was so pleasant and polite. We had a slight problem with the train bookings but Ms Sunny smoothed it all over. She also organised Halong Bay for us on the Phoenix Cruiser. We were given a room to shower and change in free of charge when we got back from Sapa and before going to Halong Bay. Room had a view of the lake but there was a lot of building noise going on next door which was not their fault. On return from Halong Bay we asked for a room change and were given a delightful room over looking the street with a small balcony. Free WiFi and excellent location. All the staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They were delighted to hear that we had seen a turtle in the lake! Lovely breakfast room and view. Would stay here again if ever in Hanoi again, which is likely!

After a minor "hiccup" with our booking which Ms.Sunny sorted out, we spent 4 nights at the Golden Sun which offers great hospitality,helpful staff with good command of English and a great Travel Desk. The breakfast had a good selection of cooked dishes and was plentiful.The rooms although on the small side were clean and had everything one needed including a free laptop computer which was very handy.Ms. Sunny couldn't do enough to make our visit comfortable and hotel location was perfect being close to shops,the Hoan Kiem Lake and eateries.

This was a great hotel situated close to the Hoan Kiem Lake in a relatively quiet street. Helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast. Clean room. Great to have own laptop provided in room to use the internet.

Sunny, the hotel manager, is terrific. Very nice, super helpful, a total winner. The hotel itself is fine. The location is great and the breakfast is wonderful - enjoying the view of the lake from the 7th floor over a warm bowl of Pho is a great way to start your day. There was some construction going on when we were there over the holidays, but it didn't really affect our stay since we wanted to go out and see the city. If that's an issue for you, just ask Sunny about it directly - she's very candid and professional.
