My stay at Little Hanoi was a short one - one night. I would describe it as a small place with a lot of heart. The person at the front desk, Tony, welcomed us with tea and advised us on some of the options we had during our stay in Hanoi, including the Halong Bay tour. He did seem a bit like a salesman, pitching lots of ideas on us, but I would not put that against him. I saw it as being passionate about helping others and making sure people had a memorable in vietnam.
The room as great! The beds were comfortable, the aircon worked, and even complimentary dragon fruit courtesy of the hostel. As far as improvements, getting hot water was pretty difficult to figure out, some instructions should have been provided by the staff. Also there's no elevator, and being on the top floor with a fair share of luggage was pretty arduous to say the least!
Overall, the experience we had there was very pleasant, close to a lot of sights and sounds, including the night market where you get a bit of a culture shock at all the people and stands selling everything you can think of. The hostel also provides free breakfast, and hooks you up with decent taxi service, which is helpful since vietnam is known for their notorious taxi schemes!
hope this helps !
