I stayed at the Asean for three weeks during Novemeber whilst working in VietNam.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, food is fine, laundry was returned within the day, speedy room service. Front rooms have very effective double glazing which minimises street noise and the rooms are solidly built so that there is no room- to -room noise.
The hotel is a popular venue for wedddings which give the international traveller a charming insight into one aspect of Vietnamese life.
Not in the city centre but an inexpensive taxi-ride away.
A good hotel for those who enjoy something a bit more local than international hotels. Not exciting or trendy.
