Small but plesant place to stay. Good service from the staff, every thing is very good except the location. Crossing the road is fearfull experience, If the hotel can guide for crossing, it will be helpful for non vietnamese travellers. Thanks for your support during my stay in unfamiliar country.

I dont agree with the other review on this hotel

The Ho Guom Hotel is at 38 Hai Ba Trung St, located on the south side of Hoan Kiem Lake (not the old quarter). The location couldnt be better as it is in the centre of town but away from the hustle and bustle of the old quarter.

The hotel has been refurbished 2 years ago and is clean and modern. The front rooms are large and spacious while the back rooms are smaller (and cheaper). There are also rooms without windows in the centre of the building.

The staff are friendly and did everything to help my group of friends who had come over for my wedding, where I had made a reservation for 13 rooms at late notice.

Breakfast is excellent

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a moderately priced hotel in the centre of Hanoi

This is a 2-stars (at most) hotel in a very good location in the old centre of Hanoi. Besides it's location the hotel offers nothing more. Rooms are of good size but a kind "depressing", not well maintained and with low cleaning standards.
