My family and I stayed here, in connection with my business trip. We needed two rooms; the second room they gave us was a smoking room, and the smell of cigarette smoke was pervasive, When I went to change rooms, they wanted to charge me more to change to a "bigger" room. After arguing with them, we agreed to the higher rate because we were tired. The air conditioning in that second room didn't work, and the breakfast the next day was terrible--very dismal selection, food that had been left out too long, flies on food. The dining room is small, so we could smell cigarette smoke from other hotel clients. The mattresses were way too soft, the furniture was old, and there were ants in the bathroom. The restaurant next door served very heavy Chinese food. For this price, you can find a much better hotel in the Old Quarter.

Having read previous reviews on the hotel was somewhat apprehensive at staying at the Heritage. Needless to say, the hotel is undergoing rennovations (bit noisy if you stay in hotel during the day but was not an issue for me), and my room was clean and well appointed. Would have been nice to have been able to open a window though!
Internet service was fast and free, breakfast was passable but probably better off going elsewhere if you like less greasy foods.
Very easy to get around and frankly after visiting main tourist trap, much preferred staying in a more local area - great little supermkt around corner from the hotel with excellent fresh fruits and hot breads. If you want a little plush for the evenng, toddle down to Hotel Daewoo - nice little rooftop bar..
