Stayed here for 1 night for business. Staff were friendly and attentive. Check in was less than 5 mins before I was ushered to my room. Free snacks was a nice touch. Room had all the basics. Nothing fancy but was clean and maintained, had all the necessary amenities like bottled water to drink, toiletries, complimentary coffee/tea and electric kettle. Had a king sized bed which was comfortable. Shower was nice. Free wifi, small desk in corner, TV with sufficient channels including some English channels. Breakfast was ok, reasonable spread which was good tasting. A plus definitely. Had a quick buffet lunch at hotel and it was nice too. I wouldnt mind staying again, Airport transfer was efficient. Booked the driver for half day for travel to my meetings which was efficiently managed and pleasant.

Sunway was a decent hotel with cozy rooms. Free WiFi access was one thing that pleased me as most hotels in around the world have paid internet connections. Breakfast buffet was decent with elaborate continental spread, Lunch buffet had limited and typical Vietnamese dishes though, not suitable for all travelers.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Sunway Hotel Hanoi. Was generally pleased with my stay and would like to reserve special mention for it's remarkably hospitable service crew. Rooms were cosy and comfortable with clean and well maintained bathrooms. Wifi and internet kiosks were also provided in the lobby for all guests to use.

There are however, a couple of niggling issues that I had with the hotel. Firstly, there is little or no proper shopping, sightseeing spots or bars around the hotel. While it's located in the very charming french quarter, the exact location of the hotel is still somewhat far from where all the action is. I also found the rooms a tad small considering it's a four star property with a four star price tag. Lastly, breakfast was pretty much the same every morning. If you're not the sort to venture out for breakfast, then it's going to be the same old fare every morning for the duration of your stay.

Having mentioned the above, I still find the hotel to be good value for money and an ideal place to stay in hanoi. Just bear in mind the good and the bad side of it and you should find your stay at Sunway Hanoi satisfying.

I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Sunway Hotel Hanoi. Based on my previously stayed experiences, I expected old dusty rooms with bad service for this 4 stars price point but it’s not. The staff was really nice and accommodating. But the best part was the room we got. It was a standard room with classic fixtures and beds. The bathroom was nice and clean. That is pretty much what I look for after a long day of walking.
