“Decent mid-priced business hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

My second stay at this hotel. It is not located in the old quarter of Hanoi, but is reasonably near and in a less crowded locality and about 1 km from the convention center. Check in was handled efficiently, however, I got a room in the old wing. The old wing rooms are old, small and the view is mostly of the front and the road. The TV is small, no LCD or flat-screen. (However, I stayed in the new wing during my last trip, those rooms are bigger and have a nice view of the lake). The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but I found that this is a Vietnamese standard and not restricted to this hotel.
There is free internet in the room, which worked well. The breakfast is good, with a good selection of Vietnamese and international dishes. The Chinese restaurant is excellent, one of the best I have experienced anywhere. There is a decent nightclub, a small casino and a full spa attached to the hotel. The spa is really good, great value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, even though many of them have difficulty understanding English properly.
All in all, a decent hotel, good value for a business traveler, will definitely consider staying there again.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms in the new wing with a lake view- a bit more costly, but the rooms are newer,bigger...

“Nice clean hotel with lots of facilities but limited understanding of English”

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very clean and had lots of facilities in one location. The food choices were excellent and the shopping, casino and night club I'm sure would have also been excellent.

There were however some language issues, this hotel advertises the fact they speak and understand english, this was not always the case. My very limited Vietnamese didn't help!

“Reasonable hotel for the price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

Location - Good
It is near the lake, so you get a good view if you are staying in the new wing
Nice food across the main road.
Staff / service - Average
Room - Average
The rooms in the old wing is quite run down but still reasonable. TV is abit small, old type, not LCD or LED..
Breakfast - Excellent
This is one of the best breakfasts of the 3 hotels I have stayed in Hanoi

Room Tip: If you want the view, book a room in the new wing, but it might cost slightly more.

“Good hotel away from Hanoi's busy central district but not far from it.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

Great rooms. Away from busy tourist areas of Hanoi. Mainly catering to business travelers and that too Chinese / Korean travelers. But if you can manage it, the staffs are great and rooms are good and good value for money. The Night Club bar is boring compared to other similar bars in Siem Reap or Manila. So don't go with much expectation to the bar. They will arrange local travel through South Pacific Travels , if you want to go to Ha Long Bay. One challenge is since this hotel is slightly away from tourist district, you may not get the tour pickup.

Room Tip: Get a Lake view room. Worth the money during the sunset

“Reasonable mid range hotel with facilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

As a regular guest of this hotel, I would like to give my personal views of this hotel.

Location & hotel
It is not located in the old quarter, but is near the convention centre. You needs to take taxi to everywhere.
It is a mid range business hotel, and they had 2 blocks, old and new wing, and lobby spaced is of good size.

Room & facilities
New wing room rate is higher and I always request my room facing the lake. Do not know about old wing facing as I had not stayed in this block before. Bath room fixtures had being change recently and all are in good working condition. Bed is rather hard, but it is OK to me. Bed sheet is being change everyday.
Internet were provided to me free. Maybe because I am a regular guest.
There is a food court in this hotel which operate till 3-4am in the morning, and menu are extensive. Food are rather good if you prefer Chinese.
Casino is present in this hotel, but all are electronic game machines.
Massage parlour is next door to the casino, and foot massage were very good, but price is higher than most places outside hotel.
There are night club, Chinese restaurant and swimming pool, but unable to give comment as I did not try any of them.
Morning breakfast is OK, but you will get bored after few days, especially if you are a regular.

Reception staff and bell boys are very friendly and helpful.
Overall this hotel is OK to me because if you stay in old quarter, unless you are a tourist, you would faced traffic jam in the morning and evening when you are back from work, as old quarter roads are rather narrow and most are 2 ways traffic. Also most hotels in old quarter are rather small hotel which are converted from shop houses.

Room Tip: New wing room facing lake is nice to look at early in the morning
