First of all, this is a Govenernment-run hotel (which we found out later) which means that none of your money goes to the locals.. surely a reson in itslef not to stay here! When we got to our room, the walls were spattered with mospuito corpses, the room itself stank, the floor was disgusting and the shower didn't work, and all this for the princely sum of $16. On our first night there, we checked with the recoptionist if it would be ok to come back late as we were meeting friends in Dalat; she assured us that we could return at any time and simply ring the buzzer. We arrived back to the hotel at 1am and at 2.30, decided to give up and were forced to ring the bells of hotels on the street to avoid sleeping in a park somewhere. Luckily, Dreams Hotel took us in (and could not have been nicer about it. When we returned the next morning, the managerproceeded to tell us that we were lying, pretending to have come back at all and that someone had been there all night to let people in! We demanded that he ring the person in question and sure enough, he had gone upstairs to one of the free rooms for a sleep!! And yet still he insisted that we pay, then saying that we had come back too late, wher ewere we until 1am?!! It was an absolute disgrace, and I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were rude and unhelpful and we were mad e to feel as if we had done something wrong. Don't stay here!
